Dog Days Millhiore astoundingly pasts through Raildex’s Shirai Kuroko for a Prelim 1 win. Anohana’s Anjou Naruko settles for third, proving she has quite a game while Yumekui Merry’s Merry proved that navel porn was enough for 4th place. Amagami’s Imouto rounded up the top 5.

Dog Days performed better than expected. 2ch response to this Spring animation wasn’t as high as Anohana and Hanasaku Iroha, so her galvanizing through first place is quite a feat. Kuroko did satisfyingly, considering her Index II screen time was at a minimum. Anaru on the other hand was subpar to the series standards. One can say that Anohana will definitely not be a Saimoe powerhouse as fans would expect. Merry did as expected with her series not being the most popular, but Tachibana Miya on 5th place is quite a feat considering she isn’t a main Amagami character. Wise to say, Amagami SS is a series to be closely watched this time around.  

Comments: Oh god why are the votes so low. . . Saimoe is really going to the dumps. I mean seriously us FORENJERS have it real hard. Stop being butthurt of Rika’s win, I mean when was that 2007? Urgghhh. Anyway Anaru didn’t penetrate as I hope she would, but I did predict already that she wouldn’t be that strong. Please give her a light bracket in the first round! Also, should I really get to it and start watching Dog Days? I think I’m missing out a bit. Also, Yui did terrible! AB! really is a has been now.

Who will top the next round:

Eucliwwod Hellscythe (Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka?) or Kazari Uiharu (Raildex)

My bet goes to Eu, but Uiharu might just steal it if she isn’t careful. More analysis later.

AST11 – Preliminary 1 Predictions

Okay I don’t know how to start this. I’ll put my full effort tomorrow on whoever wins (Kuroko has the lead as of this moment) but yeah. Just a reminder that It’s that time of the year again.

Results would show that Anaru should be winning this round based on 2ch popularity, but Saimoe history says she won’t be that strong. Kuroko’s a safe bet since she’s from Raildex and quite popular for a None-Main Index character. Merry should get second or third. There’s that girl from Dog Days and Yui competing four fifth while Amagami’s Imouto should be a safe bet for sixth-to eighth.

Index II 23

100% refresahing. Apparently he’s the cOOl guy in class. He can order the class to go to a sukiyaki place by his words. Kazehaya would be proud of you.

Moving to the more intense part of the episode, we get to see a glimpse of GROUP. Accelarator, Tsuchimikado, Biribiri stalker, and that LOSER. Quite an awesome team if you ask me. LOSER was pretty cool with her antics though Kuroko’s movements are still funner to watch. Accelarator on the other didn’t even need to show how awesome he is because gah HE’S FUCKING AWESOME. Touma’s still as dumb as ever though and he even unbuttons Himegami’s bra. Gah.

The sheer awesomeness of this episode makes up for Biribiri’s absence. I think I’m getting to a point where it’s okay not having her around if the story keeps on getting better and better like this. Though still I’m on the [this series would be better with her in it] and I doubt that’ll ever change. Someone announce Railgun II already please.

Verdict:9/10 (Great way to start a new arc. . . wait there’s one more episode left?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?)

INDEX II 19

LAST ORDER (((((

Quite a heavy episode this time around and its actually good. Poor Accelarator and LO. Their lives are complicated.

The episode raises some questions though:

1. Does the monologue in the beginning have something to do in this arc? I mean will a holy being really enter a person? I’m guessing Hyouka but…?

2. Who is Aleister really?

3. What is the conspiracy of ACADEMY CITY? This one is a question I’ve been having a long time ago (since the first arc of S1)

I do hope Touma also gets beaten up badly because unlike Accelarator which was really sad, I’d completely laugh if he gets all bloodied up. No way am I gonna feel sorry for him and Index.

Verdict: 9.5/10 (Nice new plot. Accel/LO gives depth to the series. No sign of Mikoto though)

KYUUUUUUUUUUUUUBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEYYYY!! Touma is more fearsome than I thought.

 

The episode itself is actually really nice. Its a bit more refreshing with less exposition and the “Slice-of life” Academy city really is more fun than the actual plot. Laura is awesome too. The girls and the washing machine was a bit…? Real nuns are modern you know? The best part of this episode has to be Accelarator. Its really sweet how he cares for LO (even with his wtf face). The author really is changing him for the better.

Less Biribiri though (She could punch 325 kilograms?!?!?!! lolwut). Makes me sad but still good episode.

Verdict: 9/10

Yeah… no that won’t work. Accelarator might kill Index after a day of being with her because of her annoyingness.

Though Index might benefit from him cus he’s richer than Touma.
