Biribiri fans = cheaters

There has been some rumors that some Chinese dude has been multi-voting on Mikoto Misaka since Round 1. This explains the relatively- way too high vote count of hers. The same Chinese dude claims to have helped Saten in the previous year-hence her reaching Quarter Finals.

Multi-voting causes a lot of ruckus in J-Saimoe. In fact Nagi of HnG only managed to reach the finals because of multi-voting through buying lots of phones; something that wasn’t banned until after her match with Koromo in which it was discovered.

This is kinda sad news for me. To find out that my TOP character to win it all has way too many eager fans who have been cheating around. It has caused many sacrifices such as Victorique and Homura, who also are my favorites too. I just don’t know anymore.

Looking at the match today is even more depressing with Kanade barely keeping up to a Strike Witch.

Saimoe 2011 – War between the Puella Magis and the Resistance

A war has been settled between two competing factions. One is the overpowering Puella Magis, and the other is the Resistance which is composed of many aces from many series (lack of another dominant faction is key). Here’s the breakdown of these two factions.

Puella Magis:

Kaname Madoka: Super-spectacular Prelim win record, an average of 60%+ beatdown from Round 1 to 3

Akemi Homura: Spectacular vote totals on prelims, defeated by the Resistance via Mikoto Misaka.

Sayaka Miki: One of the highest vote totals in the tourney. Defeated Charlotte Dunois of IS, a stronghold member of the Resistance.

Tomoe Mami: Top Seed of the tourney. Vote totals plus Percentage would = Dominance. Recently got a win of 69-70% in Round 3 (Top 5 all time)

Kyouko Sakura: Performed a spectacular Round 2 beatdown with 68% (Top 10 all time).

Now for the resistance which consists of many aces of many different series. They have banded together for the goal of beating the Puella Magis, a feat only done by Sui Shijima and Mikoto Misaka.

Resistance:

Mikoto Misaka: 600+ vote totals in two of her rounds. Beated one of Puella Magis, Homura Akemi.

Kanade Tachibana: 500+ vote total on R!, owner of Block B since the beginning.

Elsie: High vote percentage total, the only character who even has a chance of beating Madoka.

Ika-Musume: Invading since Round 1. A 71% win in Round 3 says a lot.

Charlotte Dunois: Defeated by Miki Sayaka.

Kuroneko: Her matches causes a rise in vote totals. Has yet to be challenged seriously (Even in Round 1 by Sherlock).

POLITICS

Kill: Proclaimed second strongest character in the tournament, Homura Akemi, is gunned down by Raildex favorite, Misaka Mikoto in one of the most interesting Saimoe Openers witnessed in history (2007 would like to contest).

Upset: Not for me at least. While I do feel sad that Homura has to take an exit, it was for the greater glory (of me) as Mikoto manages the would-be impossible to proclaim a few days ago.

Veteran vs Newbie: So veterans haven’t totally lost yet. This really sets the tone/rivalry in this year’s Saimoe.

Vulnerability: Puella Magis can be killed?!!? By more than 100 votes even!?!?!? Nah. I’m pretty sure Madoka just got stronger at this point. What should be watched though are early favorites like Kuroneko and Ika-Musume in their not so easy matches.

REJOICE: BIRIBIRI WON HAHAHAHA I LOVE SAIMOE.

Next round:

Prediction: Cordelia, Eu, Mayuri

Picks: –, Eu, Mayuri (No “Yume Note” for Minami I guess…)

HAHAHA SAIMOE IS AWESOME.

Saimoe: HOT OR NOT

Now that Round 1 is about to start, its time to analyze which is hot and which is not in this years Saimoe.

A Certain Magical Index: HOT
So I heard something about Quality and Quantity. While some aces did perform below the expected, Index II is still poised to pack some punch this year.

A-Channel: Medium-hot
So I heard Tooru can do late night finishes. . . Besides her, the rest of the team was pretty lukewarm.

Amagami SS: Not
One must admit, their performance was pretty disappointing considering they were one of the most popular series in Summer/Fall 2010.

Angel Beats: NOT
They failed so badly I foot-palmed (Is that even possible?)

Ano Hana: Medium-hot
They didn’t do as bad as I thought they would. Still lukewarm though.

Astarotte’s Toy: HOT
Astarotte cleaning up Mio in Group 9:chceck

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko: VERY HOT
Besides Madoka and Oreimo, Denpa Onna’s Erio did outstandingly though finished second to a PM. But still, a very high-tier series.

Milky Homes: Medium Hot
Kokoro won a group, Sherlock not bad.

Dog Days: Low Fire
They started dying after Millhiore won.

Dragon Crisis: NOT
Rose getting third in a low-tier group, tied with a side cahracter.

Dream Eater Merry: Low Fire
Merry won’t eat anything.

Gosick: HOT
Victorique performed spectacularly against a Puella Magi, though falling short by 1 vote. Still High tier though.

Hanasaku Iroha: VERY HOT
Ohana did splendidly; even Nako managed to grab a win.

Hidamari Sketch: Medium low fire
They always disappear in the prelims, landing somewhere I don’t care about though they always manage a lot of wins.

Hidan no Aria: HOT
Aria did spectacularly against a PM. Others didn’t do so bad.

Infinite Stratos: Medium-hot
Some characters performed underwhelminglt but Char did win a group.

K-On: HOT
They lost a lot of steam from last year, being a returning champ and all, but they’re still someone to beat.

Kore Wa Zombie Desu ka?: NOT
They did so badly, I cried. Eu ;__;

Negima: NOT
Wow only one character.

Nichijou: Medium-fire
Very biased but Nano did perform better than expected.

Ookami-san: NOT
Forgotten before it even has a chance on Saimoe.

Ore no Imouto: SUPER HOT
They blazed preliminaries with Kirino and Kuroneko getting fine wins. Manami bested Yui Hirasawa. They’re so perfect for Saimoe its annoying.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: AS HOT AS THE HOTTEST SUN IN THE UNIVERSE
The performed so brightly that it brought me to tears of joy. Homura, you really made Madoka into quite the powerhouse.

Seitokai Yakuindomo: NOT
Sorry goiyz, no win from this perverted shit

Shakugan no Shana: HOT
The flame is still burning even after five years. The only veteran that won a prelim

Sora no Otoshimono: Low-fire
Like Hidamari Sketch, they disappear somewhere in Saimoe but they end up winning a few rounds.

Squid Girl: VERY HOT
Set to invade round 1.

Steins;Gate: HOT
Kurisu really proved to be quite the ace dancing with Kirino, Saten and Azusa and ending up second. Kurisu’s already poised for Block Finals. Mayuri bested Yui Hirasawa.

Strike Witches: Medium-fire
Considering they aired a year ago, they’re performing like its 2009. They did horribly in 2009 though.

The World God Only Knows: Medium-fire
Well Elsea did win a group.

Tiger and Bunny: NOT
They did amazingly in Prelim 2 but that’s prelim 2 not prelim 1.

To Love Ru: Low-fire
No Yamikan this year. BOO.

Valykria Chronicles: NOT
Isara Gunther makes it but not Alicia. HAHAHAHA.

Hourou Musuko: NOT
Awesome prelim 2 results.

Yosuga no Sora: Medium-Hot
Sora could beat some upper echelons. Twincest FTW.

______________

Round 1 is today. Make sure to vote for the right character.

HOMERUN!

“HOMERUN!”

1st – 433 votes – Akemi Homura @ Puella Magi Madoka ☆ Magica
2nd – 376 votes – Ika Musume @ Shinryaku! Ika Musume
3rd – 349 votes – Misaka Mikoto @ To Aru Kagaku no Railgun OVA / To Aru Majutsu no Index II
4th – 299 votes – Aragaki Ayase @ Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
5th – 293 votes – Misaka sister (#10032) @ To Aru Majutsu no Index II
6th – 269 votes – Gertrud Barkhorn @ Strike Witches 2
7th – 223 votes – Amane Suzuha @ Steins;Gate
8th – 189 votes – Saori Bajeena (Makishima Saori) @ Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
9th – 174 votes – Manabe Nodoka @ K-ON!!
10th – 139 votes – Mitsuba Mutsumi @ Seitokai Yakuindomo
11th – 131 votes – Yagyuu Juubee Mitsuyoshi @ Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls
12th – 122 votes – Akagi Sena @ Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Akemi Homura of Puella Magi Madoka Magica fame notches first with 433 votes. Titular character Ika-Musume settles for second while Raildex’s main gun, Mikoto Misaka, disappointingly settles for third. Aragaki Ayase of Ore no Imouto notches fourth while Misaka #10032 gets fifth.

Madoka Magica overwhelmes this match; Akemi Homura completely homeruns this round. Ika-Musume proves to be a major threat while Mikoto Misaka’s power have somehow mysteriously weakened. Still minor character Misaka Imouto is on fifth which proves Raildex’s dominance in this tourney. Ore no Imouto is proving to be quite a scare, three minor characters (Ayase, Saori and Sena) have magically made into the top 12. Steins;Gate wasn’t completely left out with Amane Suzuha getting a decent score but more analysis is needed.

Comments: OUCH BIRIBIRI?!?!?!?! What the hell happened? Oh well, I’m glad Homura and Ika-musume did outstandingly in this round. Especially Homura, PMMM! will definitely be scary this year. I can’t wait for Kuroneko’s match though since signs are saying Oreimo will obliterate the tourney. At least I didn’t get to eat cardboard but if Misaka Imouto got 60 more votes, I might just have.

Who do I think will win the next match:

Hanasaku Iroha’s Ohana or K-On!’s Mugi. We’ll finally be able to see Kissuiso’s power, though it probably won’t be much. There’s also A-channel’s Run but A-channel offended me so much, I don’t even want to consider it.
