Moshidora – 01

I had to put a picture so yea. . .

To be honest this first episode is pretty dull. Maybe they’re just trying to get the exposition out for more awesome but I got a bit tired in the end. There’s a lot of potential though and I like baseball so I hope this gets better. The catch of this series really is on how that Management book will help the baseball team go to Koshien. It’s only ten episodes and it would be an interesting experiment to blog this so I will.

Nichijou most dissapointing anime of the season according to 2000 surveyers

Link here (It’s Sanaku though so NSFW)

Japan sucks. JUST BECAUSE NICHIJOU ISN’T AS MOE AS K-ON AND IS ACTUALLY FUNNY- DAMN YOU OTAKUS. I mean seriously out of the plethora of series this season why pick this as most disappointing? Maybe because Yuuko or Mio is to weird or unsexy to be fapped upon? Ugh Japan I am disappoint.

I know it’s just a survey and all but as I think Nichijou is on top of my list for this season, I just had to say my sentiments on this list.

I am afraid though that this might not earn that much money on blurays and dvds as otakus are not all over this.

Crazy Woman and Normal Boy – 02

Denpa Onna really is well . . . denpa.

The whole episode itself was introducing different characters but the revelation that Erio was lost for six months and started believing in aliens really took this series into another level. The fact that she even flew over a bridge only to fall really shook me. There’s a lot of secrets being hidden and the fact that Meme was talking about it in such a factual way with no feelings is creeping me out more. I’m just hoping this series takes a serious turn somewhere because it’s pretty good when it does.

My interest in this series is going higher. The fact that even with all the craziness of this series, it’s reality bound. We now know that Erio really is just a lunatic with amnesia and if this series delves more into that, I don’t know how awesome this series will get. This episode won me over so if you look to the right, there’s a category for it.

Hanasaku Iroha – 04

Kiraboshi

While Anohana is flaunting out their nokemon battles (Great for me), Hanairo is practicing its Korean morning drama roots. I mean you could make this into live-action and you won’t even have to change a thing! Well not a problem to me really because I really like HanaIro. I don’t even know where to categorize it. It’s not bug of a drama, it’s not all comedy, you’d be brain dead to call it slice of life even though that’s exactly what’s happening. . . Korean drama indeed.

You might see in the sidebar that I have put a new category just to say how much I like this series.

Ao no Exorcist – 02

Killing otou-san by episode 2?!?!? I underestimated this series a bit.

Seriously speaking I’m enjoying the hell out of Ao no Exorcist. The thing that draws me in here is how great the storytelling is. They know how to put properly flashbacks, develop characters and just put the right mood into every scene. The storytelling is very FMA-ish (not the story though). The story itself is very intriguing too, with the whole Satan’s child premise. I’m getting pumped up for this one because it has everything I like for a shounen premise.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica (END) 97 points

Don’t forget

Always, somewhere,

someone is fighting for you

As long as you remember her

You are not alone,

This is Puella Magi Madoka Magica,

The greatest show ever made.

I did not see this coming. I did not see that they can outdo episode 10. I did not see that this series could reach epic proportions. I did not see this will become a show to be remembered in Anime history. Madoka is with us, sacrificed her life for us, and gave hope for us to the future. The ending was so bittersweet, I really was both happy and sad at the same time. Thank you SHAFT, for producing one of the greatest series ever told. The Mahou Shoujo genre will now be taken more seriously than ever before. This is a new way of iterating hope being given. I say everyone who has not watch this show, WATCH IT.

From a slow start, very intriguing middle, increasing in epicosity episode, per episode, seeing the anguish of Homura, and finally witnessing Madoka stand up and become God, Puella Magi Madoka Magica has become a series etched into my heart forever. It gave me everything I wanted for a story and it never failed to deliver. My words are not enough to express my love for this series. PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY OF ANIME.

Realistically speaking, this was already inserted into one of the best anime I have ever watched, but that ending pushed it to greater heights. I mean seriously how epic can a series get? Also it didn’t end up annoying like Evangelion so I’m happy for that. QB, while still as evil as ever, has join forces with Homura to defeat demons and Homura started having Madoka’s power, a really good epilogue for me. I have no complaints whatsoever so I’ll just plaster some rating here so I can go back fagging about the ending.

PS. No one believed me that Madoka was gonna become God but HAHAHAHA I WAS RIGHT. Look at my previous posts in Madoka. . . I really did predict it!

Rational Rating:

Plot: 50/50 (Give it to Madoka already. One of the greatest story ever told.)

Characters: 19/20 (I was a bit scared at first that the characters were bland but they really fleshed everyone out, especially Homura.)

Production: 19/20 (It’s SHAFT so it’s awesome.)

Overall Feel: 9/10 (Rewatching it, it’s not as perfect at it seems, but dammnit everyone watch this.)

Verdict: 97/100 (A+, the rational rating does not justify the awesomeness of this show.)

Maria Holic Alive – 02

I get a heart attack when Kanako turns into something like this. DAMN SHAFT.

The episode itself is pretty good and lol Infinite Stratos reference. Also, that priest gives me the creeps.

Note: OHGAWD OP that isn’t even probably considered as one is atrocious. I miss the epic OP of the first season. ED isn’t as addicting as the first season’s too.

Recommendations for the Spring Season

The 7 players of Spring

Well here’s a rundown of the list I’ve been watching these past month and It’s a lot. I think everyone is noticing on how awesome this season is. A lot of series I’m watching right now have too much potential and it’s hard to nitpick my favorite. So here it goes:

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (Those that performed well above expectations. Those that surprised you on how good it is. QUALITY SERIES of the season.)

1) Nichijou – Highly entertaining series. This series is like a comedy sketch using different characters. There’s already a pattern in each episode that I’m loving. The animation is spectacular too.

2) Anohana (That long name series) – Has a great potential to be this season’s winner (at least for me). It has something that I feel like I’ve been missing for quite a while.

3) Ao no Exorcist – Crazy potential for a shonen series. Very intriguing, high production values, you can’t go wrong with this one.

4) Hanasaku Iroha – The slice of life this season. The difference though of this from other SoLs is that it has quality writing. Prettiest series this season too.

5) Deadman in Wonderland – YESSS WE HAVE A HORROR SERIES THIS SEASON. It has an interesting set-up too. The white girl is creepy though, especially when Zawazawa’s using her cute voice. Like Ao no Exorcist, it has great potential too.

6) [C] – Pokemon Battles.

7) Denpa Onna – Erio is jailbait. It has witty dialogue and very interesting characters. Adding SHAFT visuals, we have a winner.

RECOMMENDED (A must watch too. It performed as what you expected it too and has a bit of potential.)

1) Yondemasuyo, Azazel-san – A highly entertaining Lolgag series. I like the use of the 12-minute format so that nothing drags out. Satou Rina-voiced female lead makes it a winner.

2) Hen Zemi – A bit disgusting but highly worth it.

3) Hidan no Aria – It’s so bad it’s good.

4) Maria + Holic Alive – SHAFT sequel after all. Set your expectations accordingly because it’s a SHAFT sequel.  I’m still a bit sad with what they did with Arakawa’s sequel so I’m a bit wary with this one.

5) Tiger and Bunny – It’s a great series but the CG is a bit distracting.

6) Steins; Gate – I didn’t see it was from the same people who mad Chaos Head. I’m still a bit disappointed with Chaos Head so I think I’ll just marathon this one after a few weeks. So far though it’s pretty good but then so was Chaos Head in it’s first few episodes.

7) SKET DANCE – Get through the BGM and the noise, you might actually find yourself laughing a bit.

MEH (Series I’ll just mention because I watch them):

1) A- Channel- Apparently forgetting your socks and panties to school is funny. I wrote a very passionate post about this one.

2) 30 Year old virgins – Lol censorship. Why even animate this if everything is blocked by a bunch of scribbles?

3) Ore-Tachi wa Tsubasa wa nai – NO JUST NO.

4) Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi – I didn’t like Akasaka’s ending and I thought it was a bit mediocre. Don’t watch this one. It has a shota though. . .

5) Toriko – GEH

With seven series running for the top, this season is truly marvelous. Last Winter Season was a blast, Madoka and all, so I’m expecting great things this season. 2011 is a great year for me.

Last note: I’m still thinking which series to blog because 7 is. . . a bit too much. I’ll get into it a bit later though I guess. For now I’ll just sit back, relax, and watch my animu.
